The centrally located Green Hostel features 19 plain, budget-friendly rooms on a Stare Miasto side street. It's one of the many hostels adhering to the odd Krakow tradition of naming hostels after the English words for colors. Neither charming nor carefully appointed, Green Hostel is nonetheless a perfectly acceptable place, well-suited to a budget travel crowd.
Dorm rooms are ideal for backpackers and small groups. They tend to be big, with tables for meals, card playing, and drinking game shenanigans. Rooms are outfitted in a mishmash style, incorporating rust and yellow patterned curtains, hardwood floors, rugs (both oriental reproductions and beige carpet strips), and stand-alone bed units.
