The two-star Hotel Campanile is a cookie-cutter hotel abutting the Stare Miasto greenbelt, offering 106 rooms in an imposing, modern building.
Guest rooms at the Campanile, with their forest green wall-to-wall carpets, plaid bedspreads, ample writing desks and a pile of brochures, call to mind the prefab aesthetic of the Ibis hotel chain. On the downside, scuffed up walls and a general lack of excitement prevail. While Campanile rooms are not dated by any means, they don't exude newness. All feature air conditioning, satellite television and telephone.
The hotel checks off many of the key business hotel requisites, including spacious concierge and meeting room facilities. There is also free Wi-Fi in the public areas. But the main perk of staying at Campanile is the hotel's super-central location, only minutes from Market Square and Old Krakow.
Breakfast is available for an additional (rather pricey) fee.
Note: This hotel was visited by a EuroCheapo editor and is recommended based on cleanliness, location, price and overall quality. EuroCheapo did not charge this hotel to be listed.

About the Campanile neighborhood
Stare Miasto (Old Town) is the heart of Old Krakow. Encircled by a greenbelt park and bookended by Wawel (Castle) Hill at its south and the Florian Gate at its north, the area is full of tourist sights. These include Rynek Glowny—the Main Market Square and the biggest medieval city square in Europe—St. Andrew's Church and Wawel Castle. Swank cafes and restaurants abound here.
