Opened in 2001, Hotel Classic's 30 rooms still feel more or less new.
Rooms are earthy, with orangey carpets, lime green bedspreads, orange and white walls, and red-brown headboards. The effect is uncluttered though not stylish. Massive stuffed loveseat-style chairs are utilitarian but not attractive. Desks and other furniture are similarly utilitarian. These rooms will be acceptable to all but the fussiest business traveler.
Hotel Classic's rates are among the more expensive of the hotels we reviewed in Krakow. This is a self-consciously midrange hotel with some lovely amenities and a pleasant location just inside the Stare Miasto greenbelt, but it isn't a bargain by Krakow standards.
Hotel Classic also runs the cheerier and cheaper (though also less amenitity-rich) City Hostel, just around the corner.
