The Hotel Fortuna Bis is one of two hotels in Krakow's Fortuna mini-chain. The other, Hotel Fortuna, is located close-by, just a few minutes away by foot. The two hotels share many of the same aesthetic characteristics. The 23-room Fortuna Bis is the slightly smaller of the two. Both hotels are good, even pretty, tourist-class hotel options.
Rooms are extremely green, with various hues alternating on walls, carpets, and upholstered chairs. Duvet covers and curtains match. The effect is slightly busy. Furniture is more lightweight contemporary than antique reproduction. Bathrooms are unremarkably fine. Room verdict: midrange standard achieved; design points withheld.
Fortuna Bis has a number of features that set it apart from other midrange hotels. There's a restaurant on the premises, for example, as well as a meeting room.
The best way to enter Fortuna Bis from its lovely courtyard. Room balconies are overflowing with flowers in summer. Make sure to request a room with a courtyard-facing balcony to up the charm factor.
