The eight-room Sky Hostel is located on a massive courtyard on ul. Dunajewskiego, just northeast of Stare Miasto.
Rooms here are small. While cozy for couples or groups of friends, they don't leave a lot of room for round-the-bed calisthenics. We saw a double room that managed to coordinate walls, sheets and pillows all in shades of orange. No interior decorating prizes will be won here, but these rooms are fine for budget-oriented travelers. Rooms have lockers as well as a safe deposit box. In addition to one single room, a double room, a triple room and a quad room, Sky Hostel has two six-bed dormitories and two eight-bed dormitories. All share bathroom facilities that tend toward the shabby side.
The scene, as one might expect, is backpacker. Any doubts here should be put to rest on arrival. Posters and bulletin boards placed by the entryway make the hostel feel more like a university dormitory than anything else. The common room is stocked with television and DVD player, an Internet station (in addition to free Wi-Fi) and various games from darts to poker.
Though not one of Krakow's quietest hostels, Sky benefits from its location and attractive architecture. Not only does it position guests near the Stare Miasto action, but the massive, stately building in which the hostel is located is also fetching.
Breakfast is included.

West of Stare Miasto, Krakow, Poland
About the Sky Hostel neighborhood
Krakow's more modern face can be seen in the districts west of Stare Miasto. The neighborhood is far younger than Stare Miasto or Kazimierz. What's more, construction sites make it clear that this area of the city is continue to transform. Bustling ul. Karmelicka is a lively artery, with an array of retail on offer. The district is well situated near the action, though is likely not where visitors will want to spend most of their time in Krakow.
