The eight-room Sky Hostel is located through a massive courtyard on ul. Dunajewskiego, just northeast of Stare Miasto. Though not one of Krakow's best hostels, Sky benefits from its location and attractive architecture. Not only does it position guests near the Stare Miasto action, but the massive, stately building in which the hostel is located (in particular its expansive courtyard) is also fetching.
Rooms are small. While cozy for couples or groups of friends, they don't leave a lot of room for round-the-bed calisthenics. We saw a double room that managed to coordinate walls, sheets, and pillows all in shades of orange. No interior decorating prizes will be won here, but these rooms are fine for budget-oriented travelers. Rooms have lockers as well as a safe deposit box. All share bathroom facilities.
The scene, as one might expect, is backpacker. Any doubts here should be put to rest on arrival. Posters and bulletin boards placed by the entryway make the hostel feel more like a university dormitory than anything else.
In addition to one single room, a double room, a triple room, and a quad room, Sky Hostel has two six-bed dormitories and two eight-bed dormitories.
