Barebones, baby. That's the Trzy Kafki Plus ticket. Encompassing 24 rooms on an anonymous street west of Stare Miasto, Trzy Kafki Plus is an ideal nesting place for backpackers and other budget-minded tourists.
Now, when we say “barebones,” we mean it. Rooms, organized into suites, are devoid of all ornamentation. White walls, hardwood floors and a serviceable table and chairs pretty much take care of things. All rooms feature kitchenettes (some private and some shared with other rooms) and all but two have en suite bathrooms. There is no television on property but there is free Wi-Fi throughout.
Though the near-complete lack of décor may dissuade many, Trzy Kafki Plus rooms are a great place for independent-minded travelers who want to cook their own meals. The rates are also pretty fantastic, some of the very best we found in Krakow.
Note that there is no elevator but you can request accommodations on the lower level when reserving your room.

About the Trzy Kafki Plus Hotel neighborhood
Krakow's more modern face can be seen in the districts west of Stare Miasto. The neighborhood is far younger than Stare Miasto or Kazimierz. What's more, construction sites make it clear that this area of the city is continue to transform. Bustling ul. Karmelicka is a lively artery, with an array of retail on offer. The district is well situated near the action, though is likely not where visitors will want to spend most of their time in Krakow.
