Located in a peaceful Victorian garden square only minutes away from the Earl's Court and Olympia exhibition centres, the Best Western Burns is fit for a king (or queen!). For £10-15 more than the smaller hotels in the area, you can pocket a twin room (double and triples during off-peak season) for a decent deal in the hotel's regally furnished rooms.
The Best Western Burns is busy, flawlessly friendly, and filled with all kinds of people: families, backpackers, business folk—a real sight in a neighborhood so geared towards attracting mostly foreign business travelers. The only teeny drawback is the lighting in the rooms. As it faces north, the hotel isn't the best for rising with the sun. Just arrange for wake-up service and the rest will be tough to fault!
The Burns' reception area has a royal feel with wooden flooring, large chaise-lounges, a working grandfather clock, hanging gold-embossed wind chimes, and patchwork-like rugs.
All linens at the Burns are tartan-finished. Rooms have cushioned chairs with and wood-varnished desks. Some of the 104 rooms have hanging gold lamps and dainty bedside tables. Well-sized bathrooms with fairly roomy glass-door showers come as standard in the twins; only the larger rooms have tubs.
