The EuroCheapo team can't get enough of the charming bed-and-breakfast scene along Cartwright Gardens, the former stomping ground for the Bloomsbury Group. And the newly refurbished Jenkins Hotel is a small, cozy spot set in a Georgian mansion.
Though located in the city, the Jenkins has a country comfort feel. And with only 14 rooms, visitors get lots of attention. Feminine and frilly, the Jenkins decoration exudes the benefits of a woman's touch. Most singles and doubles have en suite bathrooms, however, a few share facilities in the hall.
For those who like to play tennis, guests have access to the private courts across the street. Rackets and balls are available at the hotel. The location is also a 10-minute walk from the British Museum and the British Library -- giving guests a little exercise.
