Residence les Gobelins

Located along a quiet side street near the “Les Gobelins” Metro stop, the cozy Résidence les Gobelins offers comfortable two-star rooms with some charming touches. With double rates hanging around the €100 mark year-round, it’s not a bargain, but it’s certainly a reliable option.

Rooms

Rooms at the Résidence les Gobelins are cheery and pleasant, with sunny yellow walls and pretty matching bedspreads and curtains. Furnishings are basic (cookie-cutter desk and bed, wicker-backed chairs), and all rooms offer a small flat-screen TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi.

Half of the 32 rooms look out onto the small rue des Gobelins, while the others overlook the quiet back garden. (Light sleepers may want to request a back-facing room, even though the street is not terribly busy.)

All rooms have a private bathroom, which offers either a shower or bathtub.

Hotel facilities

The charm factor increases downstairs. The jazz-filled lobby provides a nice welcome, while the back garden, which is spotlit and crawling with greenery, is an ideal place to enjoy breakfast (€8.50) in nice weather.

The Résidence les Gobelins is located on the small rue des Gobelins, just south of the “Les Gobelins” Metro stop and a five-minute walk to the Place d’Italie (a major traffic and transportation hub).
