Art Gallery Hotel  

The 18-room Art Gallery Hotel is located in an attractive Dutch townhouse just off the Leidseplein. It's intimate and very convenient for shopping as well as museum hopping.

We were happy to see fresh blue carpets and freshly painted walls, though beds and furniture are still of the ho-hum variety. Views vary widely from room to room; make sure to ask ahead if you want to look down at the Rijksmuseum from the comfort of your double.

Baby beds, hair dryers, and irons are available on request.
