This one-star family-run spot is very easily accessible from the airport and all other transportation. Over seventy years old, Hotel Toledano is right where all the action is, along the always packed Las Ramblas. Rooms are straightforward with no frills—besides a silver bedspread or lone florescent palm tree painting, rooms in general lack décor.
In the blazing heat of the Mediterranean summer, make sure to ask for a room with air-conditioning, as only half of Toledano's rooms are so equipped. Some rooms have balconies that look onto Las Ramblas, which, for the record, provides far better entertainment than any reality TV show. All rooms have Wi-Fi, televisions, bathtubs, and telephones, plus a buffet breakfast is available for €9. Bathrooms are basic but clean, in line with the rooms.
Hotel Toledano shows signs of a bit of wear and tear, but if this doesn't bother you, then book a room with air conditioning, and enjoy a stay in Barcelona's innermost core.
