Pension Alexandra is a dainty little pension, nestled on a boutique-lined street between Kurfürstendamm and Savignyplatz. Every adorable detail (potted plants, oriental throw rugs, lace tablecloths, framed prints) is presented with a welcome touch. While the Alexandra is best suited for those choosing to stay in Charlottenburg, the Alexandra is still only four blocks away from Savigny Platz S-bahn.
Polished wood floors lead to nine tasteful and immaculately-maintained rooms. In addition to sizeable beds covered in downy white comforters, the smallish rooms are outfitted with small desks that double as TV stands, bed-side tables, armchairs, and armoires. A framed print or two adds interest to the yellow walls. Rooms without private bathrooms share facilities in the hall.
The pension’s public spaces are truly adorable. The included breakfast is served on a massive antique buffet in the elegant breakfast room. Lit by Art Deco fixtures, the hallways feature a petite table piled with magazines and a full-length antique mirror. It's these little touches that make the Alexandra one of the cutest pensions in town.

About the Hotel-Pension Alexandra neighborhood
North of the Ku'Damm is the leafy, upper middle class hood of Charlottenburg. Residential and rich, Charlottenburg is full of relaxed little cafes. We love Charlottenburg for its friendly side streets, in particular those diagonal streets that host little mini-parks. We also like Charlottenburg's affordable little pensions and hotels, which are more prevalent than the neighborhood's well-heeled profile would suggest. While Charlottenburg is not as vibrant and exciting as the dynamic hoods to the east, it's reliable and safe, and at turns quite welcoming.
