The Hotel Cristina is another of our favorite molto centrale cheapies. It offers nine lovely, spacious rooms that are just seconds from the Uffizi, on the straight-out-of-a-storybook Via Condotta. We spent two comfortable nights at the Cristina during our last visit and loved it for what it was: old-fashioned, hyper-convenient, and cheap.
The rooms are airy and clean with old town views. (A few rooms are on the courtyard...Ask for the street!) The occasional frescos that adorn the bathrooms and the high ceilings help give the Christina a heavy dose of character. Furnishings are distinctly one-star, but hey, sometimes Spartan can be spectacular!
