As one would expect, the 51-room Best Western Corona Hotel is a safe bet: it offers comfy, standardized accommodation with en suite bathrooms about a 10-minute walk from Victoria Station and a little north of the Pimlico Tube station.
The Corona opened its doors in February 2001, and has done well in the maintenance and upkeep department. Rooms, which are on the small side, are characterized by the usual slew of chain hotel amenities: tiny televisions, coffee and tea accoutrements, and basic toiletries. Walls, bedding, and curtains come in color palette of vibrant oranges, sky blues, lavenders, and rose pinks. The wood furniture is plain and simple. The headboard matches the writing table, which is attached to the matching closet unit. You get the picture.
A continental breakfast is included in the rate, but you can shell out extra for a full English breakfast.

About the Best Western Corona neighborhood
Though not an aesthetically pleasing neighborhood, the area near Victoria Station, which comprises parts of Westminster and Pimlico, is undeniably convenient. Aside from its proximity to Victoria, Buckingham Palace and the lovely grounds of St. James's Park are just up the street and Westminster Abbey is but a short Tube ride away. Be warned: there are countless hotels lining Belgrave Road and its peripheries lacking in the charm department. These vary wildly in size, quality, and nightly rate. This is one neighborhood where it more than pays to do your homework. Those staying in London for more than a few days might want to look elsewhere, for charm if nothing else.
