Located on the eastern edge of London’s West End, the Covent Garden district is a mecca of shopping, eating, drinking and people watching. Originally a fruit and vegetable market, Covent Garden’s picturesque, twisting streets are now home to the Royal Opera, theaters and countless boutiques.

If you like watching free street performers, browsing through designer stores, or enjoying a cold pint, the Covent Garden area will have something for you.

Covent Garden is located on the Piccadilly Tube line (tube stop: Covent Garden) and Charring Cross station is also nearby. Covent Garden is a short walk (or one Tube stop—the shortest ride in London) from the more boisterous Leicester Square.
