What the central Leicester Square (pronounced "Lester") lacks in size (it encompasses only about four acres), it makes up for in personality, bright lights and glitz. This pedestrian square is the epicenter of London’s cinephile scene, and is packed with large movie theaters that frequently host premieres.

Fans of live theater will also take keen interest in TKTS, Leicester Square’s half-price theater ticket booth. The booth is located on the square and sells heavily discounted same-day tickets to West End shows. Read more (including tickets available today) on the TKTS Web site.
