Housed on the first floor of a beautiful palazzo on quiet Via Germanico near the Vatican, the two-star Hotel Giuggioli shares the same building and the same friendly management as the Residenza dei Quiriti.
But while the Quiriti is awash in gold-accented, classical décor, the Hotel Giuggioli provides a cool, modern contrast. Shades of charcoal and chrome and clean lines are a metrosexual's dream-come-true.
Both hotels boast super-high ceilings and attractive artwork. The Giuggioli's nine rooms (all with private bath) are spotless. Amenities include a minibar, TV and hairdryer. Breakfast is served in the minimalist lounge and café.

About the Hotel Giuggioli neighborhood
Located across the Tiber River, the Vatican and Prati are unquestionably majestic. St. Peter's Basilica is the focal point of the Vatican, which is the world's only neighborhood that's also a nation. The Vatican and Prati area is pleasant, with tree-lined streets, wide boulevards, and newer buildings. This is a great area to stay, as hotel rates are often lower, hotel rooms bigger, and nights quieter than in other Roman neighborhoods. The area is two stops on the subway from Piazza di Spagna.
