Getting Into Bratislava
Air
Bratislava's air traffic runs through MR Stefánika Airport, which sits 12km (less than 8 miles) northeast of central Bratislava.
The less expensive mode of transportation into Bratislava proper is by bus. Bus line 61 connects with Bratislava's main train station, and costs €50. The journey takes about 25 minutes.
Taxis between central Bratislava and its airport cost between €10 and €17. A taxi journey between the airport and the center of Bratislava should take between 15 and 25 minutes.
Train
Trains arrive at and depart from Bratislava's Hlavná stanica, or main train station. The train station sits about a kilometer north of the city's Old Town. The train station is located next to municipal tram and bus stations.
Buses and taxis link the main train station to Bratislava's Old Town, although it's also an easy and enjoyable journey by foot during warm weather.
Bus
Long distance buses arrive at and depart from the Autobusová Stanica, or main bus station. Autobusová Stanica is located about a half kilometer east of Bratislava's Old Town.
