From the Airport

There are several ways to get into Dublin from the big international airport, which is located 10km (6.5 miles) north of the city.

The public bus is the cheapest travel option from the airport. Routes 16A, 41, and 41A run between the airport and the city. 16A takes about 50 minutes to work its way across the Liffey. Routes 41 and 41A each take about an hour and finish up at Eden Quay. Bus fares cost between €1.60 and €1.90, depending on where you are dropped off.

The Dublin Airlink runs two routes to the airport. Route 747 glides between the airport and O'Connell Street/Central bus Station. Route 748 takes a slightly different route, transporting passengers from the airport to the Central Bus Station, Tara Street, Aston Quay, and Heuston Rail Station. The Aircoach runs from Ballsbridge to the airport, stopping at O'Connell Street in both directions. A single adult ticket costs €7 and a round-trip ticket costs €12. Children between the ages of five and twelve pay a flat fare of €1. For more information visit the Aircoach website.
