Tucked among the shops and restaurants of the Rue de France, the two-star Hotel Solara is easy to miss. But beyond its modest exterior are 14 comfortable, convenient and inexpensive rooms.
The Solara's rooms are adequately sized and painted fresh white. Linens are quite thin, but luckily you don’t often need a big duvet on the French Riviera. Rooms are equipped with television, air conditioning, mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi and soundproofed windows. The bathrooms are large and the shower doors boast dated, yet fun, designs.
Perhaps the hotel’s best feature is its location on the Rue de France. The sea is close enough to smell and you’re only a short walk from Old Town.

About the Hotel Solara neighborhood
Following the beachfront, the picture-perfect Boulevard des Anglais is ideal for afternoon strolls and "special moment" splurges. Most of the hotels in this neighborhood are located north of the Boulevard, in the direction of the train station though all within easy walking distance of the beach.
