Hotel Prima Lepic is a dainty three-star hotel with a fabulous Montmartre location. You'll never be able to forget that it's a hotel in the heart of Montmartre, as scores of trendy bars and restaurants are just around the corner. The hotel’s standard rates are hardly cheapo, but when they do drop down, the Prima Lepic is certainly worth considering.

The 38 rooms are decorated to a high standard with floral bedspreads, matching curtains and pretty patterned wallpaper. Some ceilings still boast their original plaster moldings and several beds have drapes and canopies. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and soundproofed windows in all rooms. Bathrooms have either bathtubs or showers (in non-deluxe rooms) and are equipped with hair dryers.

The reception and lounge area have a rustic feel, with large vases planted with stalks of wheat-colored dry grass and roomy arm chairs upholstered in milky blue pastels. When we visited, a basket of complimentary fresh pastries filled the reception area with a delicious aroma. The walls are decorated with works of art by local artists, many of them for sale.

The breakfast area has white wrought iron garden chairs along with marble top tables. Breakfast is served for a rather steep €12. (We’d recommend hitting up any of the nearby cafes for your morning croissant.) Wi-Fi is free throughout.
