The Hilton New York is so enormous that its lobby takes up an entire block along Sixth Avenue. This polished four-star boasts nearly 1,981 guest rooms and 57 convention rooms, making it the largest convention hotel in the city.
Spacious guest rooms are attractively decorated in classic "Old European" style. Rooms have most every amenity imaginable and often boast sweeping city views. And the bathrooms are fresh and well-equipped with large mirrors and sinks.
The vast lobby is a vision of gold light and marble floors, bustling with friendly receptionists, young couples, tour groups and well-heeled travelers from around the world.
The 44-floor Hilton now has two (expensive) restaurants, a lounge bar, a Starbucks and an 8,000-square-foot health club ($15 per day).
Breakfast is included.

About the The Hilton New York neighborhood
Midtown West is packed with tourists sights... and tourist-class hotels. Working west from Fifth Avenue to Hell's Kitchen and up to Central Park, the neighborhood is home to the Theater District, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Carnegie Hall, and the Museum of Modern Art. Not to mention Times Square—an entity within itself. Though most New Yorkers steer clear of this congested (and now pedestrianized) area, the neon lights, larger-than-life billboards, and wise-talking street vendors keep the visitors coming. And coming. And coming.
